I am often asked, “what do you do besides yoga for workouts?”, or “What does a week of workouts look like for you?”. I wanted to share with you what I do and what makes me feel good. As with diet, exercise is not a one size fits all approach. I have been moving my body ever since I was a young kid. I grew up dancing, I played tennis, skied, hiked, biked and ran around a lot. I still play tennis, cycle, ski and hike; but not as often since it’s harder to have access to those activities here in the city.

I’ve changed and adapted my workouts to meet my requirements over the years and I think it’s always most important to listen to what works best for you. When I was pregnant with twins, I worked out differently than when I was pregnant with my first son. When I was training for the marathon I ran a lot more than I ever have. Now that I’m getting older, I am prioritizing strength and mobility. I am happy to share with you what I’m doing right now at this stage in my life. Every week varies a bit; but for the most part, I stick to a routine that incorporates yoga, Pilates, strength and some higher intensity cardio as well as low impact cardio. I figured it’s easiest to recap or lay out this week to show a realistic view of my routine.
